- He died 8/3/1890 in Zacatecas, Mexico and Jean Duhalde was appointed administrator of his estate.
He was a resident of Los Angeles County at the time of death - never married.
His father Pierre Duhalde received the bulk of his estate.
He had a brother, Jean Duhalde in America & another Jean Baptiste in Souraide, France. He had a sister, Marie Duhalde in Souraide, France.
It was claimed that he was father to Jeanne Duhalde, illegitimate daughter of Marie Etchoto. Arnaud never publically acknowledged her.
He was a sheepherder.
His estate consisted of cash $3,392.70 (Farmers & Merchants), Draft $1,000 (drawn on Bank of England, made by attorney in fact: Manuel Ordoqui), Piece of land in Sabichi Tract $1,200.
A suit was brought against him 1888 from Marie Etchoto for refusal to marry her after she claimed he got her pregnant, she was looking for $20,000 in damages. Sheriff could not find him for summons. She pushed so hard, he moved to Mexico in 1889 and died there in 1890.
