Pierre Daries worked in the fire service and as a game warden in Los Angeles county. There are articles about his work on a rescue mission for a Boeing 247 airplane crash in 1937 on Iron Mountain and his work on the Laguna fire as fire chief. He retired to Bishop, California after he and his mother's adjoining ranches were sold under imminent domain to the state to make Lake Castaic. He continued to hunt and fish and play golf into his 90th year. |
