    In 1888, she worked as a domestic at Buena Vista House in 1888 under A. Cuyas from there went to work for a Mrs. Maxwell.
    She claimed that her only property was "her body". That she boarded with Mr. Arroqui for nothing. She got married on 3/4/1893. She also claimed that she boarded with Jaureguy's on Alpine St. for 5-6 months before she got married.

(age 49) Larante (sic) were living at 539 New High in Los Angeles with their four children, Frank (age 16), Rosie (age 12), Peter (age 8), Manuel (age 6) and a roomer, John Anirole (age 44 Italian). Manuel and Jennie had been married 18 years and they had 6 children but only four were living. He immigrated in 1886 and no immigration information given for her. Manuel was a laborer doing odd jobs and Frank was a teamster.

They were both born in France and immigrated in 1884. Manuel was a laborer on a farm and Rose was a typewriter for a druggist.

    Manuel (age 63) and Jeanne M. (age 66) Laraneta were living at 424 W. 57th St. in Los Angeles with their daughter Rose (age 31) and her husband Louis A. Gruner (age 31). They owned their home which was worth $4,000. They were both from France and they both immigrated in 1888. Manuel was a laborer on a ranch, Rose was a clerk in a law office and Louis was a salesman in a radio store.

They were both from France and registered as Alien residents. He was a farmer on a cattle and sheep ranch and Rose was an overseer for a druggist.

    LARANETA-Manuel Laraneta was a 3-sport star at USC. He lettered in football for 3 seasons (1924-25-26) as a fullback, where he played in the Trojans' first bowl game (the 1925 Christmas Festival) and set the school career interception record (13) that stood for 15 years (he's still sixth on the list). Unofficial records claim he scored the first touchdown in the Coliseum during the freshman team's 1923 victory over Santa Ana High and that he rushed for 1,165 yards as a senior in 1926 to lead the nation. He also lettered in basketball in 1926 and 1927 (he captained the 1927 squad) and in baseball (1926). He later became a football coach at San Pedro High and was inducted into the San Pedro Sportswalk. The Varsity Lounge in USC's Heritage Hall was named in his honor. He died on Jan. 9, 1969, at age 65.
