Birth:
Samson sometimes became Francois, Francisco or Frank so it is assumed that this was the case with this individual, although there are no other records for him with the name Samson. Additionally the 1900 census indicates his birth in Nov 1856. Although the year is off, the month is correct. Further research necessary to confirm but it appears as if this is likely match.

His parents were Pierre Deseta, 32 years old, mason and Marie Poco, 30 years old, farmer, who were living in the house of Erdicoetcheborda at the time of his birth.

Census:
Francisco and Marianna Deceta were living in Soledad (Newhall Precinct) with their son Martin. He was 43 years old, born Nov 1856 and she was 31, born May 1869. They were married for less than a year and had one child. They were from France, he immigrated in 1870, was naturalized and she immigrated in 1892. He was a farmer.

Census:
Francisco and Mariana Deceta were living in Fairmont with their two children Martin 19 and Ignacia 9. He was 64 years old and she was 52. There were both from France, he immigrated in 1870, was naturalized in 1883 and she immigrated in 1881, was naturalized in 1899. He was a laborer on a farm.

Samson/Francisco married Marie/Mariana Larramendy on 10 Jul 1899 in Los Angeles, California. Marie/Mariana (daughter of Bernard Larramendy and Marie Marguerite Iriart) was born on 18 May 1869 in Etchartecoborda, Esterencuby, France; died on 08 Mar 1936 in Los Angeles County, California. Documents list both 1900 and 1901 as his birth year but since 1900 US census lists him as a new born, it is proof that he was born in 1900.

• Other Information: She was married to Ed Adkins (1898-1963) of Nebraska on 9/5/1933 in Boise ID. Note: He was the brother of Mildred Adkins who was married to Martin Deceta.
