  	Obituary for John Pierre Mathieu John Pierre Mathieu, 95, passed away October 2, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5 at Kirby Pines Manor, John Mathieu and Don Johnson, presiding. The interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. John was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines as a supply officer in the U.S. Navy. He was the Utah State Junior golf champion and went to the University of Chicago on a golfing scholarship. He retired as a regional sales manager with Zenith Radio Corporation of Chicago. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and attended First Evangelical Church with his wife. John is survived by his wife, Faye; daughter, Heather Amuny (Jack); sons, John Mathieu (Kathy) and Bill Mathieu (Rosemary); grandchildren, Heather Amuny-Dey (Jeff), David and John Mathieu, and Sydney and Rachel Mathieu; great-granddaughter, Arden Dey; sister, Mary McKenna; and brother, Pierre Hualde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean-Baptiste and Marguerite Mathieu; step-father, Pete Hualde; and brother, Henry Mathieu. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Louis Catholic Church, Memphis, TN or First Evangelical Church, Missions Department, Memphis, TN. The Social Security Death Index indicated that his last residence was in Houston, Texas.
