John Iriart, 74; A funeral service will be held here Friday for longtime West Side farmer John Pete Iriart. He died
Tuesday at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. He was 74. He was a tire shop owner and farmer for over 50 years in
the Tracy area and moved to Patterson 15 years ago. He was a native of California. He was a charter member of the
Tracy Elks Club, and past member and director of both the Tracy Golf and Country Club and the Banta-Carbona
Irrigation District, a member of the Turlock Golf and Country Club, a volunteer at the Westside Food Pantry, and was
affiliated with the Federated Church in Patterson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Hillview
Funeral Chapel. A service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Federated Church. Burial in the Tracy Cemetery will
follow. Survivors include his wife, Carol Iriart of Patterson; a son, Ray Iriart of Manteca; a daughter, Maryann Fischer of
Tracy; a stepson, James Knight of Waterford; two stepdaughters, Diana Impeartrice of Los Banos and Denise Knight of
Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Iriart of Corona; and five sisters, Grayce Wiseman and Kary Jane
Kruger, both of Riverside, Marjorie Dressler of Anaheim, and Katherine Pauley and Alyce Sazbo, both of Corona.
The family requests that remembrances be sent to the Westside Food Pantry, P.O. Box 1418, Patterson.
