His parents were Lucien Etcheverry, 39 years old, a farmer and Marianne St. Marie, 36 years old living in Urberoa in Mendionde at the time of Bernard's birth.

Census:
Bernard was a boarder with John & Jennie Errecalde on Valley View Road in Norwalk along with his wife Marie and son Gabriel and other boarders. He was 44 years old and she was 40. He was 41 and she was 37 when they were married. He immigrated in 1910 and she in 1930. He was a milker on the dairy.
