Juan and Graciana Erramuspe were living in San Juan with their son Domingo, 3 years old. Juan was 38 years old, native of Spain and Graciana was 30 years old and also from Spain. They were living and working for Louis Dartigues, as a foreman and cook where there were also other laborers and sheep herders hired by Dartigues.

They were married for 24 years old and had two children. They both immigrated in 1876. He was born in France, she in Spain and the sons in California.
