Both these names were used for the owner of Phala but it is hard to determine if they are the same. For now it is assumed it is the same family, further research necessary.

• Godparent or Witness: Domingo d'Itcainarena was a witness on the marriage record of his sister Marie de Pedrotipiarena with Jean Halty in 1742. Domingo d'Itcainarena was godfather to his niece Jeanne d'Itcainarena of Biper in 1752. Domingo d'Itcainarena was godfather to Dominique d'Itcainarena of Harribelz in 1754 (relationship not noted). Dominique de Pedrottipia, owner of the borde of Mariasara was godfather to Dominique de Harguina in 1755. There is another record on 11/23/1739 which states the following:
Domingo, son of Gratiane d'Etchart d'Oronos and Jeanne, inheritor of the borde of Mariasararena.
Witnesses were Pierre d'Etchart, uncle of the groom, Jean d'Etchart, brother of the groom, Pierre d'Itcaynarena and Pierre de Nobliarena.
It is unclear why there are two record.

His godparents were Samson d'Eyharasarry and Jeanne d'Iriart.

Samson Chisco, owner of Chisco in the quartier of Apharain-Erreca, about 50 years old.
Witnesses were Jean Lagarriague and Gratian Chaldu.
